    Negotiate network pharmacy agreements with third party pharmacies; manage a network of pharmacies used to dispense medications to hospice customers; manage multiple tasks/projects through organization and awareness of deadlines and priorities; think critically and manage potential pricing concerns; support daily pharmacy and PBM operations.



    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain/manage a large network of pharmacies through a database interface
    • Load pharmacy pricing/reimbursement structures into OnePoint Patient Care applications
    • Negotiate contracts with third party pharmacies effectively to meet the pricing needs of our business; evaluate the costs each contract will have on OnePoint Patient Care
    • Manages a specific list of medication prices known as a MAC (Maximum Allowable Cost) list
    • Analyze specific third party pharmacy data to determine profitability and reasonable reimbursement
    • Identify pharmacy pricing issues that may need to be addressed.
    • Address pricing complaints with third party pharmacies professionally and efficiently
    • Assist with OnePoint Patient Care pharmacy medication purchasing decisions; analyze product margins and impact to hospice partner based on manufacturer choices
    • Maintain hospice medication formularies and assist with user friendly document creation


    Knowledge and Skills

    • Strong degree of computer literacy with ability to use OnePoint Patient Care computer applications
    • Basic understanding of computer database design and usage
    • High level of skill with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications with emphasis in Microsoft Excel (VBA knowledge ideal)
    • Close attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Strong analytic and mathematic skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; dependable and reliable organization
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills
    • General knowledge of negotiation techniques

    Education and Experience

    • 1-2 years of experience in the field of pharmacy or pharmacy benefit management
    • 1-2 years of experience in customer service
    • Basic computer coding literacy (VBA, SQL, Javascript, etc.)
